WHITEWATER, Wis. - - - The Judson men's track & field team traveled to Whitewater, WI this weekend to resume their indoor campaign following a lengthy Christmas break. The Eagles faced stiff competition this weekend in NCAA Div. III national power University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and NCAA Div. The throwers had a strong showing with several record setting performances. Andrew Allen (SO/Milford, IL) and Michael Ford (FR/Rockford, IL)  both established new Judson records over the weekend. Allen set a new record in the men's weight throw with a toss of 13.21 meters, placing 7th overall in the event.  This was just the second time Allen has competed in the weight throw. Ford continued his record setting ways throwing 14.18 meters in the shot put, establishing his second school record in this discipline.  Ford had previously broken the indoor shot put record at the Titan First Chance meet in December.  He placed 4th overall in the shot put.

Other notable performances included Dan Becker (SO/Sheboygan, WI) who placed 5th in the pole vault at 4.10 m., Robert Bruns (JR/St. Joseph, MO) ran 9:36.22 in the 3000-meter race taking 1st, and the men's 4x400 meter relay team placed 1st as well.  The 4x400 meter team included Erik Tiscareno (FR/Franklin Park, IL), Lawson Drinkwater (SO/San Marcos, CA), Grant Bradman (FR/Grand Rapids, MI), and Ben Simpson (FR/Winslow, IL).

The Eagles gear up this week for another big meet on Saturday, January 21.  The team will travel to Bourbonnais, IL for the NCAA vs. NAIA challenge hosted by Olivet Nazarene University.
