Women's Indoor T&F - Tue, Jan. 17, 2017

WHITEWATER, Wis. - - - The Judson women's track & field team traveled to Whitewater, WI this weekend to resume their indoor campaign following a lengthy Christmas break. The Eagles found themselves competing against athletes from NCAA Div. III national power University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and NCAA Div. I University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.  The Milwaukee Track Club also competed at Whitewater.   

 

Junior thrower Jennifer Donnell (JR/Schaumburg, IL) led the way for the Lady Eagles placing 2nd in the shot put with a throw of 12.71 meters.  Donnell hit the B standard for NAIA Indoor nationals in the Eagles season opener back in December. Other notable performances by the Lady Eagles include Amanda Zylstra (SR/Mishawaka, IN) who took 1st in the 3000-meter run with a time of 12:07.14, followed by Anali Cisneros (FR/Elgin, IL) in 2nd, and Susanna Finley (JR/Rockford, IL) in 3rd.  Elizabeth Baker (FR/Braidwood, IL) also earned the Lady Eagles points by placing 6th in the long jump.

 

The Eagles gear up this week for another big meet this Saturday, January 21.  The team will travel to Bourbonnais, IL for the NCAA vs. NAIA challenge hosted by Olivet Nazarene University.
