ELGIN, Ill.  - - - The Florida sun did some good for the Eagles as the men's basketball team found the hot shooting hand against Indiana University South Bend to snap a nine game skid. Judson was able to right the ship in their first conference game back at home shooting 52 percent from the field that built a 23 point lead and eventual 85-66 win.

The Eagles picked up their second victory in conference play with a 2-7 record and a 5-10 overall record. After a winless December, Judson is looking to the new year and second half of CCAC action to turn things around in their last 16 games of the season. The team got off to a good note against the IU-South Bend Titans as all five starters put in great performances to each score in double figures.

Illya Galloway (SR/Lansing, IL) led the team with 19 points while shooting 8-for-10 from the field and racking in six rebounds. Galloway continues his dominance in conference as he ranks fourth in both field goal percentage and rebounds. Galloway struggled in the first half with just four points but produced a big second half lifting the Eagles with a monstrous dunk mid way through the second and 15 points to finish the night. Justin Allen (SR/Hampshire, IL) followed right behind with 18 points going 6-for-18 from the field and producing two steals.

The remaining starters combined for 37 points with two 13 point performances from Cody Thomas (SR/Waveland, IN) and Kevin Sexton (SR/Arlington Heights, IL) and an 11 point performance from Will Woodhouse (SR/Elgin, IL). The team would combine for 52 percent shooting from the field and an impressive 33 percent from 3-pt range. The Eagles combined that with 16 assists and seven steals that accounted for 25 points off of IUSB turnovers. The only other two Eagles to score included Andrew Eck (SR/Belvidere, IL) with nine points and Eddie Goldston (JR/Naperville, IL) with two points.

Judson snapped the losing skid and now looks to continue the winning streak as they host Roosevelt University next Wednesday, January 11th with tip-off set for 7:30pm.
