ELGIN, Ill. - - - The women's basketball team traveled back home after a few weeks on the road to face the Titans from Indiana University South Bend. The Eagles completed three road games over winter break traveling to Indiana and Chicago before returning back home to continue CCAC action. Judson's defense and fast pace of play was too much for the Titans to handle as the Eagles went on to win 70-50. Judson now evens the season at 9-9 overall while going one above .500 at 5-4 in conference play.

The first half was played close as neither team accumulated anything larger then a six point lead. The Eagles controlled the tempo but would only shoot 36 percent from the field in the first half for a 32-26 lead. IUSB countered shooting 50 percent from 3-pt range and 36 percent from the field in the first half to keep Judson within range. The second half was when Judson broke open the doors as they totaled as much as an 18 point lead near the end of the third quarter.

Judson continued to control the tempo and locked down on defense in the second half as the Eagles forced 22 turnovers for 25 points and allowed just eight second chance points for the Titans.

Jayla Barrett (JR/Homewood, IL) and Maggie Mahar (SO/Mundelein, IL) both led the way for Judson as they totaled a combined 36 points scoring 19 and 17 respectively. The Judson bench scored 37 points and the Eagles dominated in the paint scoring 42 points.

The home stretch continues next Wednesday, January 11th as the Eagles host Roosevelt University at 5:30pm.
