Men's Indoor T&F - Wed, Dec. 7, 2016

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - - - The men's indoor track and field season opened last Saturday as they traveled to Bloomington, Ill., to compete in the Titan First Chance meet hosted by Illinois Wesleyan. No team scores were kept but a number of individual Eagles made the trip including a handful of freshmen that got their first taste of collegiate competition.


Top performances included thrower Michael Ford (FR/Rockford, IL) who had an impressive debut for Judson. Ford placed fourth overall in the men's shot put establishing a new Judson indoor record with a distance of 13.76m (45' 1.75"). Runners Robert Bruns (JR/St. Joseph, MO) and Jhoan Lino (JR/Streamwood, IL) put in top times in the mile run and 3,000m run. Bruns competed in both the mile and 3,000m runs and placed sixth and third respectively. Bruns finished with times of 4:41.31 in the mile and 9:31.10 for the 3,000m. Lino also competed in the mile run and posted a fifth place finish with a time of 4:40.82.


The Eagles will be back in action on January 14th at the Karl Schlender Invitational at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
