ELGIN, Ill. - - - In the final game of the regular season, the Eagles took home an important 3-0 win over Saint Ambrose University (IA) Tuesday afternoon at Dawson Field. Judson defended their home field and secured the No.7 seed in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference postseason tournament.

The Eagles (7-8-3, 5-6-1 CCAC) came out on a mission needing a win to have a chance at making the CCAC tournament. Judson got just that as they defeated Saint Ambrose University (8-9-1, 7-5-0 CCAC) that forced a three way tie-breaker between Holy Cross College and Trinity International. Judson's win over TIU and 2-2 draw against HCC secured them a spot in the postseason with a first round match against Purdue-Northwest on Friday, November 4th starting at 1:00pm. The game will take place at Dowling Park in Hammond, Indiana.

Judson got off to a fast start as Ilya Kravtsev gave the Eagles a 1-0 lead two minutes into the game. The quick goal shifted the momentum in favor of the Eagles early and Breyden Anderson added some cushion in the 12th minute with a rocket shot from 45 yards out that snuck into the upper right corner of the goal for a 2-0 lead. The rest of the match favored Judson and Matheus Montes added one more goal off a penalty shot for a 3-0 lead just before the end of the first half. Saint Ambrose could not find any rhythm behind a solid Eagles' defensive line and a Judson offense that found great momentum that provided great pressure throughout the match.

Adrian Padilla was credited with the win and held SAU scoreless through his 78 minutes of work in the goal. The Fighting Bees would only find two shots on goal all match while Judson converted 13 shots on goal for their three goals.

Judson finishes the regular season 7-8-3 overall and heads to the postseason to face a No.2 seeded Purdue-Northwest on Friday.
