ELGIN, Ill. - - - The Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced the CCAC Player of the week honors for competition between October 11th and October 16th. Taking home the top honor of CCAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week was Judson's Sergio Bortolon.


Bortolon propeled the Eagles to a 2-0 week to even Judson's season at a 6-6-2 overall record. In a 2-1 decision against the University of St. Francis (IL), Bortolon tallied the tying goal and provided the go ahead assist to Victor Piccirillo. Sergio then finished the week with two goals and another assist in the 9-0 win over Andrews University. 


Overall Bortolon scored three goals and tallied two assists for eight points to bring his season total to a team leading 20 points. Bortolon is also in the top 10 of numerous CCAC conference offensive categories that include 5th in total points, 8th in points per game, tied 4th in total goals, and 7th in goals per game.


This is Bortolon's first CCAC Player of the Week award and second Player of the Week award this season. Sergio claimed the NCCAA Student-Athlete of the Week award for men's soccer back in September.
