JOLIET, Ill. - - - The Eagles mounted a come from behind 2-1 victory over the University of Saint Francis (IL) Tuesday night in continued CCAC action at ATI Field in Joliet Memorial Stadium.

 

Judson (5-6-2, 4-4-0 CCAC) was down early as USF tallied the 1-0 lead in the 16th minute. The Eagles would find a way to fight back through the remaining minutes to add the equalizer in the 29th minute, and the winning goal in the 57th minute. Judson handed the Fighting Saints (1-10-0, 0-7-0 CCAC) their tenth loss and seventh loss in conference, denying USF of their first win in CCAC action.

 

Sergio Bortolon fueld the offense once again with his game tying goal in the 29th minute off a corner kick from Bruno Haianon. Bortolon has perfected the corner kick goal with his second of the season. It was then Bortolon getting in on the action again, this time with his assist to Victor Piccirillo from a cross into the box. Piccirillo netted the game winner in the 57th minute and the Eagles walked off evening their conference record at 4-4-0. The only goal allowed was an own goal by a Judson defender trying to clear out a cross by USF. Adrian Padilla was otherwise perfect totaling seven saves on eight shots on goal.

 

The Eagles will travel back home on Friday, October 14th as they take on Andrews University in non-conference action. Kick-off is set for 4:00pm.
