Elgin, Ill. – Gaining four awards in the CCAC, Judson had two players on the All-CCAC First-Team and the CCAC Freshman of the year. Claiming All-CCAC First-Team were sophomores Debra Leganski and Lizzy Jacobson and freshman Nicole Dimiceli while freshman Kristin Krueger was named to the All-CCAC Honorable Mention Team. Dimiceli was also named the CCAC Freshman of the Year.
Leganski leads the CCAC in home runs with 13 and has 36 RBI on the season. This is the second year in a row that she has been given All-CCAC First-Team honors as she gained it last year as a freshman. She has already been named a NCCAA All-American this season, too.
Jacobson has nine wins on the season as a pitcher and is batting .311 with eight home runs and 30 RBI. This is her first CCAC award at Judson. She is currently second in the CCAC in home runs and seventh in slugging percentage.
Krueger is batting .324 and has started 45 games for Judson with three doubles and 12 RBI.
Picking up the CCAC Freshman of the Year award is Dimiceli. She leads the CCAC in hits, doubles, and total bases and is second in batting and fourth in RBI. She has tied the Judson record for doubles at 20 and broke the record for hits in a season and runs scored in a season.
