NOTRE DAME, Ind. - - - Judson University women's tennis hosted St. Mary's College (IN) on Friday evening. Despite three matches going to third set tie-breakers, the Eagles fell 5-4 to St. Mary's. The doubles team of Michaela Pryde & Irina Iacob battled during every point to take control of the No.2 doubles spot and took the win 8-5 to give the Eagles their only win at doubles. The other doubles matches by Lauren Saiki & Ellen Binnion and Abby Jungles & Martha Banda were close, but Judson was not able to secure the wins in doubles.

Pryde and Iacob took their win as momentum into the singles matches and both fought back after being down in their matches to push them both to third set tie-breakers. Pryde and Iacob were successful in their matches as they added two more points to the Eagles scorebook.  At the same time that Pryde and Iacob were battling in their tie-breakers, Abby Jungles was battling through a tough second set to win in straight sets over her opponent. The Eagles close out their fall season with a home match against Truman State University on Saturday, October 15th at 9:00am.
