Bourbonnais, Ill. – Winning their second game of the day of the CCAC Tournament, Judson held off #5 Cardinal Stritch, 5-4, as the Eagles tied the record for wins in a season with 23. Judson fell in the first game, 6-2, to #3 St. Xavier. Judson will now face the winner of the #2 St. Francis vs. #4 Robert Morris game at 12:00 p.m.

The CCAC tournament win is also a first in the Becky Bruns era as Judson made the CCAC tournament in 2005 but lost their first two games.

Game 1
St. Xavier 6, Judson 2
SXU scored two runs in the third inning and then added three in the fifth and one in the sixth for a 6-0 lead. Judson tried to rally in the top of the seventh but could only get two runs across the plate.
 

Tricia Lakotish scored the first run when she came home after Brittney Nicley was picked off at second base. Lakotish started off the inning with a double. Three batters later, with two outs, Nicole Dimiceli singled through the right side of the field to bring home Kristin Krueger.

Prior to the seventh inning, the bats were dry for Judson left eight runners on base. Down only 2-0 in the top of the fifth, Judson had a chance to make some noise with the bases loaded and one out but the final two batters of the inning struck out.

In the top of the sixth inning, Dimiceli hit her 19th double of the season to start the inning and then Lizzy Jacobson claimed first on a fielder's choice. Both batters were then left on base as Judson could not advance them home.

Lizzy Jacobson took the loss and had two strikeouts. Lakotish was 2-of-3 and Dimiceli was 2-of-4 to lead Judson.

Game 2
Judson 5, Cardinal Stritch 4
After CSU scored two runs in the top of the first inning, Judson answered with five straight runs to take a 5-2 lead. JU scored three runs in the second inning and two in the third inning and then held onto the win. CSU added two runs in the top of the fifth could did not find the plate again as JU took the one-run win.
 
Debra Leganski hit her 13th home run of the season to start of the second inning to cut CSU's lead to one. Both Rachel Pope and Lakotish walked and then advanced to second and third on a Brittany Nicley ground out. With two outs, Kristin Krueger came through with a clutch double to right center field to give Judson the lead, 3-2.

In the third inning, Lakotish singled to deep center field to score both Leganski and Dimiceli.

After CSU scored two runs in the top of the fifth inning to cut Judson's lead to one, Aimee Ewert worked her magic to get the win. In the top of the sixth, she retired the side with two ground outs and a strikeout. Then, in the top of the seventh, she retired the side, again, with a foul out, ground out, and fly out for the win. She finished the game with 10 strikeouts and recorded her 11th win of the season.
