ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. - - - A rainy night in Arlington Heights led to a thrilling overtime game as the women's soccer team faced the No.24 Robert Morris University (IL) Eagles Wednesday night. Judson ended up on the losing side of the 2-1 ending but forced the match into overtime with late game heroics.

Judson (3-5-1, 0-3-1 CCAC) faced a tough No.24 Robert Morris squad (5-1-2, 3-1-0 CCAC) Wednesday night in a defensive centered match. Judson had their hands full with the RMU offense that totaled 23 shots throughout the game along with five corner kicks. JU goalkeeper Mariana Salas (SR/San Jose, Costa Rica) totaled 11 saves and helped keep the Eagles within striking distance as RMU held just a 1-0 lead after the half.

A 30 minute lightning delay ensued near the end of the first half and Judson would take advantage of the offensive cool down from RMU. The Eagles did all they had to do to keep the game close at 1-0 before Jenna Zelm (FR/Sheboygan, Wis.) ripped a shot from 18-yards out that would hit the post and bounce in for the equalizer in the 85th minute.

That would send the game to overtime and would soon find RMU using one of the five corner kicks to their advantage for the 2-1 win in the 92nd minute.

Judson looks to halt the losing skid this Saturday, October 1st as they travel to St. Xavier University for a 5:30pm match. The Eagles will then try and use a two game home stand against Trinity International and Purdue Northwest to get back on the winning track.
