OAKBROOK, Ill. - - - The men's golf team had a quick turn around as they traveled to Oak Brook, Illinois to compete in the Elmhurst College Men's Fall Invitational Tuesday afternoon. The one round, 72 par course had the Eagles shooting a team score of 309 that placed them fifth overall of 18 teams. Noah Shannon (JR/Alpha, IL) led the team with a second overall individual finish out of 90 golfers as he shot a 73 (+1) on the day.


The Eagles had three golfers place in the top 20 as Shannon finished T-2nd, Nick Swierczynski (FR/Carpentersville, IL) finished T-11th, and Eric Wessel (SR/Dekalb, IL) finished T-18thAustin Miller (JR/Rossville, IN) and Cody Phalen (JR/Mendota, IL) finished T-36th and T-70th respectively and helped the team round out their best finish and team score of the Fall season.


Judson's second team consisted of Zachary Hicks (JR/Princeton, IL), Justin Hill (SR/Schaumburg, IL), Andrew Eckerley (JR/Wabash, IN), Josiah Vik (JR/Poplar, WI), and Christian Latham (SO/Sandwich, IL). The Eagles 'B' team finished tied eighth overall with a team score of 324. Hicks and Hill both tied 27th shooting a 79 (+7). Eckerly finished tied 33rd (+8), and Vik and Latham finished 60th and 64th respectively coming only within a stroke of each other shooting a 86 and 87.


The Eagles will be back on the course October 2nd at the Benedictine Invite in Woodridge, Illinois. Tee time set for 11:00am.
