WEST DUNDEE, Ill. - - - The men's golf team was back in action as they hosted the NCCAA Regional Championship in West Dundee, Illinois at the Randall Oaks Golf Course Friday and Saturday. The two round championship included golfers from Trinity Christian College, Bethel College (IN), and the University of Northwestern St. Paul (MN). It was a tough meet for all teams and Judson battled through the two rounds to a fourth place finish and a top three finish.


Overall, Judson showed a lot of fight as they battled through a hard front nine in day one but finished the next 27 holes strong. The Eagles only lost out by 10 strokes after day two. Eric Wessel (SR/Dekalb, IL) led the Eagles going five over in the first nine holes but finishing one under par in the final 27 holes. The team missed qualifying for NCCAA Nationals and Wessel missed qualification by only two strokes. Wessel finished third and was followed by Noah Shannon (JR/Alpha, IL) (T11th), Nick Swiercynski (T14th), Austin Miller (JR/Rossville, IN) (T14th), and Andrew Eckerley (JR/Wabash, IN) (20th). 


Judson will travel to Oakbrook, Illinois on Tuesday, September 27th to compete in the Elmhurst College Invite at the Oak Brooks Golf Club. Tee time set for 10:00am start.
