ELGIN, Ill. - - - The women's soccer team started CCAC conference action Saturday afternoon as they hosted the Trolls from Trinity Christian College. A battle that went 110 minutes had the teams in a stalemate that finished in a 1-1 tie to start their conference schedules.

 

Judson, now 3-2-1 overall, played a smart, defensive suave game. The Trolls controlled most of the possession rattling off 21 shots with nine on goal. Early on TCC pushed the offense that resulted Mariana Salas having to make a tackle that resulted in a penalty kick that put the Trolls up 1-0 in the 18th minute.

 

The Eagles locked down on defensive and made the best of their six shots as Alyssa Moreno scored the equalizer in the 36th minute off a defensive break down from TCC.

 

In overtime, the Eagles got two good breaks as the Trolls managed to hit the post in two different occasions in extra time. Salas had a fantastic day in the goal totaling eight saves allowing just the one goal.

 

Judson starts CCAC conference play 0-0-1 and will look towards Calumet College on Tuesday, September 20th starting at 7:00pm.
