Elgin, Ill. – Making their second appearance in four years at the CCAC softball tournament, Judson University will be the #6 seed in the tournament. They will play #3 St. Xavier University on Wednesday, April 30th, at 11:00 a.m. on the campus of Olivet Nazarene University.

Six teams from the CCAC made the tournament with #1 Olivet Nazarene University (45-8) hosting the tournament from Wednesday April 30th through Friday, May 2nd. The #2 seed is the University of St. Francis (24-17) followed by #3 SXU (23-17), #4 Robert Morris College (23-20), and #5 Cardinal Stritch University (14-17). If Judson defeats St. Xavier, they would play St. Francis at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Judson is currently 22-21 on the season and needs just one more win to tie the school record for wins at 23. They have won three out of their last five games and are coming off of a third place finish at the NCCAA National Tournament. They finished tied for 5th in the CCAC with a 10-8 record with Cardinal Stritch.
 
This is Judson's second appearance in four seasons under Becky Bruns in the CCAC Tournament. In her first season in 2005, she fell to Robert Morris, 4-1, and St. Francis, 5-1.
 
Overall, Judson has made the CCAC Tournament in four out of the last six seasons. They have been in the CCAC Tournament in 2002 (1-2), 2003 (3-2), 2005 (0-2), and 2008. Their best performance came in the 2003 season when they fell to #10 St. Xavier in the semi-final match and finished with a record of 3-2 in the tournament.
