BENSENVILLE, Ill. -- The softball team continued their eight game stretch traveling to Bensenville, Illinois to face the Eagles from Robert Morris University. The Eagles were in need of haulting a four game losing skid that included losses to (5) St. Xavier and Olivet Nazarene. Judson got back to their winning ways with dominant performances for 6-1 and 3-0 wins.

Judson, now 20-15 overall - 6-5 CCAC, got back on track with their sweep of Robert Morris (7-23, 5-11) after dropping below .500 in conference. The Eagles got two great games out of Brianna Tennyson (SR/Pleasant Prairie, WI) in the pitching circle as she went for two complete games, one earned run, and a combined 16 strike-outs. Tennyson allowed only nine hits all day as Robert Morris had a hard time figuring out the hard throwing right hander. RMU's only run was found in the fourth inning of the first game as Tennyson picked up her fourth shutout of the season. Tennyson now has a 13-10 record on the season.

At the plate, Murielle Vansach (SR/Chicago, Ill.) found her rhythm again leading the Eagles going 4-for-8 that included two home runs in game one. Vansach's back-to-back home runs gave Judson the 4-1 and 6-1 lead to take the first game from RMU.

Judson got out to quick starts in both games opening with two three run innings, third inning in game one and second inning in game two. Game two only needed three runs from the Eagles and was highlighted by Maddie Smith (SR/Mishawaka, IN) going 2-for-2 with a walk, Tennyson going 2-for-4, and Vansach completing the day with a .500 batting average.

Judson will next travel back home to face Trinity International in a Saturday double-header starting at 12:00pm.
