TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The men's golf team kicked off the spring season at the Hulman Links Golf Course Invitational. Judson had a great two rounds finishing fifth out of 10 teams and had Eric Wessel (JR/Dekalb, IL) and Austin Miller (SO/Rossville, IN) both find individual finishes after the two day invitational.

Eric Wessel is coming off the best finish in program history as he competed in the NCCAA National Golf Tournament last Fall. Austin Miller is finding good rhythm knocking off five strokes in the last day to tie Wessel for second place. Wessel shot a 75, 74 and Miller shot a 77, 72. The two had the best individual finishes and marked the most individual finishes for the program.

As a team, the Eagles shot a 631. This total is 67 strokes better than last year's score of 698 at the same tournament last season.  Noah Shannon (SO/Alpha, IL) finished with a total of 160 and in 22nd place.  Zachary Hicks (SO/Princeton, IL) finished day one with an 85 but injured his back on day two and had to withdraw.  Cody Phalen (SO/Mendota, IL) was the team's fourth score on day two with an 88.  Josiah Vik (SO/Poplar, WI) played as an individual and placed 54th overall.

Up next, Judson will travel to South Bend, Indiana, to compete at the Blackthorn Golf Course on April 16th and 17th.
