The men's basketball team was back in conference action Saturday afternoon as they faced the Purdue University-Calumet Peregrines. Judson has been looking for their first conference win and was in need of breaking the 7 game skid that has left them 6-8 overall. The Eagles were able to get out to a fast start defeating the Peregrines 86-75 to improve to 1-6 in the CCAC.

Judson jumped out to a nine point lead in the first seven minutes of the game. Will Woodhouse (JR/Elgin, IL) sparked the offense hitting three 3-pt shots for nine of Judson's first 21 points. The Eagles had one of their better shooting games going 58.6 percent from the field and 44.4 percent from behind the arc in the first half.

Andrew Eck (JR/Belvidere, IL) led the team with 22 points and shot an impressive 8-for-9 from the field, including a perfect 3-for-3 from 3-pt range. Justin Allen (JR/South Elgin, IL) (17pts), Will Woodhouse (13pts) and Cortez King (JR/Champaign, IL) (12pts) all finished with double figures and Illya Galloway (JR/Lansing, IL) was two points and two rebounds shy of a double-double.

The Eagles would go on to finish shooting 52.8 percent from the field and not let the lead get under nine points.

Judson's win was long over due as they have not found one since November 14th. The Eagles now have their first win in conference and snap the streak to improve to 7-8 overall, 1-6 in conference.

Judson will now face Northern Illinois University (NCAA Div. I) in an exhibition on January 2nd before returning to CCAC action against Saint Xavier (IL) on January 5th at 7:30pm.
