Milwaukee, Wisc. – Dropping a double header to Cardinal Stritch (4-9/3-1) in softball, Judson University is now 16-15 and 7-6 in the CCAC. CSU swept JU, 2-1 and 2-0, and only allowed one hit in two games.
Game 1
CSU 2, Judson 1
Val Stramowski pitched a one-hitter in game one with the lone hit to Judson's Lizzy Jacobson in the seventh inning. Jacobson went yard for her sixth home run of the year to cut the lead to one with one out in the top of the inning. After that, Judson did not get any hits the rest of the day.
CSU scored two runs early in the first inning and then held onto the win. Aimee Ewert took the loss for Judson as she went six innings and had four strikeouts.
Game 2
CSU 2, Judson 0
Stramowski continued her run of pitching into game two as she shutout Judson and pitched a no-hitter. Lizzy Jacobson took the loss as she went six innings with three strikeouts.
Judson only had two runners on in the game in the second and the fifth inning. Both runners were walked to get on base. Deb Leganski was the only runner to make to second base.
Judson will now travel to Iowa this weekend to face five teams in the region. They will face Iowa Wesleyan and Lindenwood on Friday and Harris-Stowe, Central Methodist, and Univ. of Illinois-Springfield on Saturday.
