Deerfield, Ill. – Getting in one of the two CCAC games, Judson University (16-13/7-3) shutout Trinity International (2-18/1-8), 4-0, before game two was called due to the weather. Judson has now won four of their last five games. Game two will be made up at a later date.
Game 1
Judson 4, TIU 0
In her best seven inning outing, Lizzy Jacobson recorded her first shutout of the season as she only allowed three TIU hits with seven strikeouts. TIU had runners in scoring position in the fourth inning and Jacobson pitched out of the jam. With runners on second and third and only one out, Jacobson recorded a strikeout and then a ground out to finish the inning. TIU only left two other runners on base the rest of the game.
 

In the second inning, Judson took a 1-0 lead when Debra Leganski hit her CCAC leading ninth home run of the season. Judson then added another run in the third inning to make it 2-0 when Nicole Dimiceli singled in Brittany Nicley.

Rachel Pope's second triple of the season brought home Leganski in the fourth inning for a 3-0 advantage. Two batters later, Nicley picked up her second hit of the day and singled home Pope for the fourth run.

Five Judson batters had two hits and four of them each had a RBI. Nicley, Pope, and Leganski went 2-of-3 with one RBI and Carrie Sensor and Dimiceli were 2-of-4 as Dimiceli had a RBI. Jacobson won her seventh game of the season to improve to 7-4.

Judson will travel to Milwaukee, Wisc., on Wednesday, April 9th, to face Cardinal Stritch at 3:00 p.m.
