Elgin, Ill. – Taking their third CCAC series of the season, Judson University (15-13/6-4) swept Trinity Christian College (1-13/0-6), 10-2 and 8-5. Judson has now won three of their last four games.

Judson pounded out 25 hits for 18 runs in the two games combined and had four home runs with five doubles. Aimee Ewert collected two of the four home runs as Nicole Dimiceli and Debra Leganski each socked one, too. Dimiceli led Judson on the day with a 6-of-7 performance and five RBI.

Game 1
Judson 10, TCC 2
Judson scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to run-rule the Trolls and take the 10-2 win. Leganski hit her conference leading seventh home run of the year to end the game as it was a three-run shot to centerfield.

TCC put two runs on the board first in the top of the second inning but Judson answered with five in the bottom of the inning. Brittany Nicley singled home Ewert on the hit and then Brenda Perry came home on the rightfielder's throwing error to tie the game at two. Nicley then stole home for the lead on the next batter then two batters later Dimiceli singled to left field to score Kristin Krueger. Dimiceli scored the fifth run of the inning on another TCC error.

In the third inning, Ewert led off with a home run to make it 6-2. Judson then added the four runs in the sixth to end the game.

Dimiceli went 3-of-4 with two RBI to lead Judson. Both Jacobson and Ewert were 2-of-3 and Ewert had one RBI. Leganski was 1-of-3 with the hit being a home run worth three RBI.

Ewert also pitched the entire game for the win to improve to 6-7 on the year and recorded seven strikeouts.

Game 2
Judson 8, TCC 5
TCC again took an early lead, 1-0, in the top of the first inning only to see Judson tie the game at one in the bottom of the inning. Dimiceli smashed her fifth home run of the year with two outs in the inning.

Judson took a 2-1 lead in the second inning when Ewert led off the inning with a home run. The Eagles added three more runs in the third inning for a 5-1 lead. Jacobson's second double of the game scored both Carrie Sensor and Krueger to make it 4-1. Leganski followed Jacobson with a single to centerfield scoring Dimiceli for a four-run lead.

Judson needed those four runs as TCC crossed the plate three times in the top of the fourth inning to cut the lead to one, 5-4. The Eagles responded, again, with a three-run bottom of the fourth inning.

Dimiceli's first double of the game gave Judson a 7-4 lead as both Sensor and Tricia Lakotish scored. Two batters later, Dimiceli stole home to make it 8-4. TCC threatened in the fifth inning, scoring one run, but could not get any more offense after that inning as JU took the win.

Dimiceli finished a perfect 3-of-3 for three RBI and three runs scored in the game. Krueger, Sensor, Jacobson, and Leganski each had two hits on the game. Jacobson had two RBI followed by Leganski and Ewert with one each.

Jacobson went the distance and recorded six strikeouts for her sixth win of the game.

Judson is at Trinity International on Tuesday, April 8th, at 3:00 p.m. in CCAC play.
