Jessie Armstrong of St. Joseph High School in St. Joseph, MI will be joining Judson's Cross Country team in the fall of 2015. Jessie signed this weekend stating her intent to compete as a Judson Eagle next fall.

Throughout her high school career, Jessie has been awarded All-Conference, Southwestern Michigan Athletic Conference West Division Champ/All-Division, Country Champion, and All-Region.  She also was an Individual State Qualifier.  Not only will she bring a wealth of experience competing at a high level, but she will also bring leadership experience, as she was a Captain of her high school team and was honored as Most Valuable Player on her team two years in a row.

"Jessie will be an excellent addition to our 2015-2016 recruiting class," said Cross Country Coach Tim Ciochon. "Her passion for the sport is contagious and her potential to develop and improve is outstanding.  Jessie comes to us with a wealth of experience as a team captain from a very strong program which will enable her to make an immediate impact not only on the course but also in our team culture."

"I am excited to run under Coach Tim because I believe in his program, and through my resilience, I will strive for excellence and push my limits," exclaimed Jessie. She is looking forward to running alongside of her future teammates for the next four years.

With a personal best time of 19:09 in the 5k, Jessie should compete comfortably as one of Judson's top five runners right out of the gate.  Look for her to make an early splash as a Judson Eagle next year!
