Elgin, Ill. – With the game moved to Elgin due to field conditions at Robert Morris, the Robert Morris Eagles (14-6/3-1) took two games away from Judson University (12-12/4-4) in CCAC play, 3-0 and 6-3. Judson left a total of 19 players on base in two games and had 15 hits. Kristin Krueger went 4-of-8 on the day with one run scored and one RBI.  In the latest NAIA Region VII poll, Robert Morris was ranked #7 while Judson was #8.
Game 1
RMC 3, Judson 0
Judson out hit Robert Morris but could not bring home the runs when needed as they left nine players stranded on base. With two runners on in the top of the seventh inning, Judson had a chance to score runs but failed to bring in the runs. Judson also had a chance to score in the fifth inning when there were two runners on with two outs.

RMC picked up one run in the second inning and then made it 3-0 in the fourth inning. RMC was the home team in the contest since the game was moved to Elgin.

Three players had two hits as Lizzy Jacbson was 2-of-3 and both Kristin Krueger and Carrie Sensor were 2-of-4. Jacobson took the loss and fell to 4-4 on the year as she gave up three earned runs with two strikeouts.

Game 2
RMC 6, Judson 3
Judson once again threatened to take the lead in the game but left 10 runners on base. RMC put two runs on the board in the bottom of the first inning but JU cut the lead to one in the top of the second inning. Deb Leganski advanced to third on Amy Meier's single to left field and then scored on the same when the left fielder bobbled the ball for Judson's first run.

RMC put two more runs up in the fourth inning to make it 4-1. Judson did not back away as they scored one run in the fifth and one in the sixth to cut the lead to one, 4-3. Nicole Dimiceli grounded out for the first out but brought home Krueger to make it 4-2. With just one out and a runner on third, Judson could not bring home another run as RMC's Lite struck out the next two batters to end the threat.

In the sixth inning, JU had two outs when Krueger hit a hard single to RMC's shortstop to score Brittany Nicley to make it 4-3. That is as close as JU would get as RMC scored two more insurance runs in the bottom of the sixth for a three-run advantage, 6-3.

Judson put runners in scoring position in the top of the seventh but could not come through. With two runners on and two outs, RMC's Lite struck out Judson's final batter to end the inning.

Krueger led the team with a 2-of-4 performance and one RBI. Dimiceli had the other RBI for Judson in the loss. Aimee Ewert fell to 5-6 on the year as she only gave up three earned runs with nine strikeouts which ties her career-high.

Judson will host Elmhurst College on Friday, April 4th, at 5:00 p.m. at the Elgin Sports Complex.
