Freshman Robert Bruns Led the Eagles in Opening Meet

Elmhurst, IL – The men's cross country team opened up the 2014 season on Friday by competing in the Elmhurst College Early Bird Invitational.  Judson finished 11th out of 13 teams. 

 

There are many new faces for the Eagles this year that contributed in the first meet.  The Eagles were led by five freshmen, the fastest of them being Robert Bruns, who finished 67th with a time of 22:04 in the 6K race.  John Bowen and Brian King finished next to each other in 90th and 91st place with times of 22:57 and 23:00.  Rounding out the top 5 scorers for Judson were Cullen Anderson (97th place, 23:11) and Caleb Fletcher (98th place, 23:18).

 

Judson Men's Cross Country will next compete on Friday, September 12th in the Illinois Intercollegiate meet hosted by Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Illinois
