Elgin, Ill. – Taking two away from Judson University in softball was Missouri Baptist as they won 10-1 and 12-2. Judson is now 12-10 on the year. Judson had two home runs on the day from Nicole Dimiceli and Aimee Ewert.
 
Game 1
Missouri Baptist 10, Judson 1
MBU scored seven runs in the first two innings for a 7-0 lead on Judson. Judson scored one run in the bottom of the second inning when Brittany Nicley hit into a fielder’s choice to score Deb Leganski. MBU added three more runs in the top of the sixth inning to make it 10-1.
 

Beth Eklund took the loss for Judson and fell to 3-2 on the year. She went 1.1 innings and gave up seven runs in which four were earned. Ewert finished the game and had two strikeouts and gave up three runs. Kristin Krueger, Dimiceli, and Leganski were the only Eagles with hits.

Game 2
Missouri Baptist 12, Judson 2
Once again, MBU jumped out to an early lead with three runs in the first inning. Judson answered back in the bottom of the inning as Dimiceli hit her fourth home run of the year with two outs. MBU added two more runs at the top of the second but JU fought back in the bottom of the inning.
 

In the bottom of the second, Ewert started off the inning with her first home run of the year to cut MBU’s lead to three, 5-2. That is as close as JU would get as MBU added seven more runs in the fourth and fifth innings to make it 12-2.

Ewert took the loss for Judson pitching four innings with one strikeout. Lizzy Jacobson finished the fifth inning.

There were only four players with one hit as Krueger, Dimiceli, Leganski, and Ewert all had one hit.

Judson will host Wheaton College at 4:00 p.m. on Monday at the Elgin Sports Complex.
