South Barrington, IL - Judson University Eagles Men's Lacrosse Team (2-1) defeated the Washington University of St Louis Bears (0-4) by a score of 16-6 at the Conservancy Fields of South Barrington on Saturday March 22nd.

From the opening face-off the Eagles showed that they were here to play. The Eagle defensive unit dominated the first quarter yeilding only one goal while the Eagle offense tallied three on the other end of the field. The second quarter and third quarters were much of the same holding the Wash U Bears to a mere three goals while racking up ten more goals of their own extending their lead to 13-4.

Entering the fourth quarter with such a sizable lead meant that the Eagles could get deep into their bench and give opportunities to several newsticks that have worked hard to make it onto the team. JU Midfielders Pasquale Salvaggio, Tim Riff , Chris Schultz as well as Freshman Defenseman Joe Grimm found themselves getting minutes in a game against a quality opponent. When the final horn sounded the scoreboard told the story of a dominate Eagle victory of 16-6.

Attackmen Josh Elmore led the way with 6 goals and 3 assists and Taylor Stark led tha assist column with 5 and 2 goals of his own. Midfielder Philip Lindsay tallied 4 goals and one assist and Midfielder Jackson Hazlett ripped some rope for his first goal of the season.

With todays victory the Judson Eagles find their way onto the Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association Division II Top 25 list for the first time this season. Holding onto the 25th spot the Judson Eagles Men's Lacrosse team returns home on Saturday, March 29th as the play host to the Spartans of Missouri Baptist at the Conservancy Fields of South Barrington (South Barrington Conservancy, 8 Bridges Drive, South Barrington, IL). The game will start at 11am and we encourage all Judson Students to attend and help support your Eagles as they try to make it three in a row.
