Elgin, Ill. – Adding another player for the 2008 soccer season, Judson University men’s soccer head coach Steve Burke as announced that Jason Parmenter has decided to play his collegiate soccer at Judson. Parmenter comes to Judson from Lincoln, Illinois.

Parmenter comes to Judson from Lincoln Community High School where he is the all-time scoring leader with 54 career goals. In the last two years, he has been given several awards for his accomplishments. He is a two-time All-Central State Eight First-Team selection, two-time State Journal Register All-Area team member, and a two-time All-Tournament selection for the Jacksonville Invitational. He was also a two-time selection to the IHSSCA All-Sectional team.

The two-time team MVP and four-year letter winner was named to the Decatur Harold and Review All-Area team this past season. In the 2005-06 season, he was a member of the honorable mention team for the IHSSCA All-Sectional team and was also honorable mention All-Central State Eight.

In the 2004-05 season, Parmenter played on the JV team and set the single season record for goals with 25. He was also the JV team MVP that season. In that season, he was apart of the varsity team, too, that won the regional championship.

In club soccer, he played for the Mid-State Soccer Club U18 where he scored six goals and had 10 assists. The club also won the Muscatine Showcase Championship in 2007.

He also participates in track where he was a three-year letter winner. In 2005, he received the Varsity Impact Award for track and field.

Outside of athletics, Parmenter participated in the Future Leaders Summit in Washington D.C. He plans on majoring in Education at Judson.

Judson is coming off one of their finest season’s ever after winning their fourth straight CCAC regular season championship, CCAC Tournament championship, and NAIA Region VII Tournament championship. They also went to their fourth straight NAIA National Tournament.
