UIllinois-Champaign 15, Judson 5 - Box
 
Champaign, Ill. - The University of Illinois scored seven of their 15 runs in the first three innings en route to a 15-5 win over Judson University.  Judson is now 1-11 on the season.
 
 
 
 
Illinois scored four runs in the first two innings but Judson added one in the top of the third to make it 4-1.  Judson picked up the run when Angel Cisneros grounded out to bring home Kevin Fischer.  Illinois then added three runs in the bottom of the inning to make it 7-1.
 
Illinois added four runs in the fourth for an 11-1 lead but Judson scored in the top of the sixth when Fischer scored ona wild pitch.  Illinois then scored two more runs in the sixth and eighth inning for their 15 runs.
 
Judson scored three runs in the top of the ninth to make it 15-5.  The first run came home as Fischer scored for the third time in the game on a Zach Scipione single.  Two batters later, Bret Ehrlich brought home Scipione and Cisneros with a double to right center.
 
Judson pounded out 12 hits as Oscar DePablos went 3-of-5.  Both Fischer (2-of-4) and Scipione (2-of-5) had two hits a piece.  Ehrlich had two RBI and Scipione and Cisneros each a had one.
 
Kyle Kobernus took the loss as he went four innings had two strikeouts and two walks but gave up 11 earned runs.  Alci Gonzales finished the final four innings and had one strikeout, two walks, and two earned runs.
 
Judson will travel to Trinity Christian College for their CCAC opener on Tuesday, March 25th.
