New Albany, Ind. – On day two of the IU-Southeast Tournament, Judson University swept both of their games in come-from-behind wins to improve to 10-6 on the year. Judson defeated CCAC foe Calumet College, 7-4, and Anderson University, 12-3. Elizabeth Eklund received both wins on the day and Rachel Pope had six RBI and three hits.



Game 1
Judson 7, Calumet 4
In a non-CCAC game, Judson was down 3-1 when they scored five in the sixth inning to take a 6-3 lead. Judson then scored one in the top of the 7th to make it 7-3 before CC scored one in the bottom of the inning.

Eklund pitched six innings and had three strikeouts for the win and Lizzy Jacobson came in the 7th inning for the save. Jacobson recorded her 2nd save of the year and had struck out the side.

Five players each had one hit but Pope and Deb Leganski brought home two runs while Nicole Dimiceli had one RBI. Pope (1-of-2), Leganski (1-of-3), Dimiceli (1-of-3), Tricia Lakotish (1-of-2), and Brittany Nicley (1-of-3) all had one hit.

Game 2
Judson 12, Anderson 3
Down 3-0 in the fourth inning, Judson reeled off five runs to take a 5-3 lead. They then added seven more runs in the fifth inning to end the game, 12-3. Anderson is a NCAA Division III school. Anderson scored two runs in the third inning and one in the top of the fourth for the 3-0 advantage.

Eklund pitched four innings to pick up her second victory of the day and Aimee Ewert pitched the final inning.

Six players had two or more hits as Amy Meier, Jacobson, and Pope all had home runs. Pope went 2-of-3 with four RBI to lead the team. Meier was a perfect 3-of-3 with two RBI followed by Dimiceli going 2-of-4 with two RBI and Jacobson hitting 2-of-4 with 2 RBI. Kristin Krueger wetn 2-of-3 and Lakotish was 2-of-3 while Leganski was 1-of-2.
