Tucson, Ariz. – Judson University improved their record to 6-2 on the season in the Tucson Invitational. JU picked up wins over Monmouth College and Patten University in their third day of play in Arizona.

Nicole Dimiceli had an outstanding day for Judson as she had seven hits, seven RBI, and a home run.

Game 1
Webster 12, Judson 3
Webster scored early and held on for the lead as Judson only scored three runs in a five-inning game. Dimiceli went 2-of-3 and Lizzy Jacobson, Kristin Krueger, and Debra Leganski all had a RBI.
 

Elizabeth Eklund took the loss in three innings of work with two strikeouts. Jacobson finished the final two innings and had one strikeout.

Game 2
Judson 14, Monmouth College 0
Judson picked up their first shut out the season with a 14-0 win over Monmouth. Aimee Ewert went the distance and had four strikeouts. Judson scored two runs in the second, 10 runs in the third and two in the fifth for the win.
 

Dimiceli led the team with a 3-of-4 performance recording a home run and four RBI. Amy Meier went 2-of-4 with two RBI while Rachel Pope was 2-of-3 with three RBI. Brittany Nicely picked up a hit and had two RBI.

Game 3
Judson 14, Patten 7

Judson won their second game in a row and five of their last six with a 14-7 win over Patten College. Judson scored four in the first inning and took a 5-0 lead in the third inning. Patten responded with five runs in the top of the fourth inning to tie the game but JU unloaded for six runs in the bottom of the inning for a 11-5 lead. JU then added three more in the fifth as they went on for the 14-7 win.

Jacobson worked three innings with four strikeouts while Aimee Ewert finished up the final four innings for four strikeouts.

Dimiceli added to her RBI total on the day with three RBI to lead the team. Leganski, Krueger, Ewert, Pope, and Jacobson all had a RBI. Krueger also went 3-of-4.

Judson will play Jamestown College and Missouri Valley College in their final day of play on Friday, March 14th.
