Tucson, Ariz - In the opening day of softball in 2008, Judson University split their games in Arizona with an opening win over Iowa Wesleyan, 9-6.  Judson is now 1-1 on the year and will play three games on Tuesday.
Game 1
Judson 9, Iowa Wesleyan 6

Judson came from behind after being down four in the first inning for a 9-6 win in their first game of the year.  Lizzy Jacobson pitched a complete game and recorded seven strikeouts in the win to start the season off 1-0. 

Offensively, Judson had two players have two hits in Kristin Krueger and Amy Meier.  Krueger went 2-of-3 with a RBI while Meier was 2-of-4.  Leah Hoffman was 1-of-2 with three RBI and Carrie Sensor picked her first collegiate hit by going 1-of-2.

Game 2
#9 Dickinson State 13, Judson 3

It was a tough loss in game two on the first day of the season as Judson fell to Dickson State, 13-3.  Aimee Ewert took the loss in the five inning game and had four strikeouts.  Leading Judson in hitting was Nicole Dimiceli as she went 2-of-3. 

Hitting the first home run of the year was Jacobson as she went 1-of-3 with a RBI.  Also going 1-for-2 were Ewert and Rachel Pope with each recording a RBI.

Judson will play three games on day two of the Tucson Invitational in Calvin College, Hendrix College, and #20 McKendree College.
