Chicago, Ill.- The Judson University women's volleyball team salvaged their weekend at the Illinois Tech crossover tournament by defeating Purdue-Calumet in 3 games. Over the weekend Judson played Calumet College St. Joseph, St. Francis, and Trinity Christian.  After defeating Calumet College Judson fell to St. Francis and (RV) Trinity Christian. The Lady Eagles were able to break even on the weekend with the win over Purdue-Calumet.

In Friday's first game against Calumet College (25-21, 25-17, 25-16), Judson won in 3 games. Judson as a team had a .341 hitting percentage, keeping Calumet on the defense the entire time. Carissa Oelke led the Lady Eagles with her 14 kills.  Right behind Oelke, Breanna Todd had 8 kills while Isadora Borerro had 7.

In the second game on Friday, Judson took on conference leading St. Francis. Judson played well but were out matched (16-25, 21-25, 18-25). The Lady Eagles made the Saints work for every point the got. Taylor Lesner had 12 digs helping out on defense.  Breanna Todd had 10 kills and Carissa Oelke had 15 kills leading the Eagles attack in the losing effort.

Early morning on Saturday Judson went on to face Trinity Christian College.(13-25, 25-20, 12-25, 13-25). Judson lost the match but made it interesting winning game 2 but it wasn't enough to swing the momentum towards Judson.  Breanna Todd was almost unstoppable with a .444 hitting percentage in the game. She helped the Lady Eagles with her 13 kills. Also helping Judson, Carissa Oelke had 14 kills. Taylor Lesner dug up 17 of the Trolls attacks while Karissa Grohairing blocked 2 of the Trolls attacks.

In the final game on the weekend, Judson topped Purdue-Calumet in 3 games(25-11, 25-13, 25-20). Carissa Oelke added to her single season and career leading  kills with 12 kills over Purdue-Calumet.  Annie Holderman was on her game with her hitting percentage of .368 and her 9 kills.

Judson is now 20-17 overall and 9-8 in conference.

The Lady Eagles will be Packing the Place at Judson on October 30^th vs. St. Xavier at 7:00p.m.
