Grand Rapids, Mich.- On Saturday, the Judson men and women's cross-country teams competed in the NAIA Great Lakes Invitational. Both teams ran well in the race. The men's team ran their way to a 22nd place finish out of 38 teams. The women finished 19th out of 37 teams.
In the men's race, Judson ran a fast course on a great day for running and competed with in the invitational that had 352 total runners. The top runner for Judson was Nate Nevius, finishing 85th with a time of 27:04. Following closely behind was Tim Ciochon finishing 102nd with a time of 27:24. Also finishing for Judson: Zach Eliason at 142nd place, running a 28:38, Lukasz Kierys finishing 150th with a 28:54, Charles Sievers at 171st with a 29:30, Mitch Mallary at 175th with a 29:36, and Zach Harig at 219 with a 32:38.
In the women's race, the Lady Eagles ran their 5k race with 355 total runners and finished respectfully at 19th as a team. The top runner was Meaghan Gard, finishing 21st with a time of 18:51. Also placing well was Gabby Nystorm, finishing 70th with a time of 19:41 and Tess Tyton at 139th with a time of 21:06. Also finishing the race, Alexis Buechler at 151st with a 21:21, Justine McDowell at 162nd with a 21"48, and Morgan Kimball at 167th with a 21:54.
