Milwaukee, Wis.- The Judson University Volleyball team had a successful weekend going 2-1, falling to Indiana University- South Bend but topped Olivet Nazarene University and Purdue North Central. The Lady Eagles bring themselves back to .500 in the conference standings.
In Friday's Game, Judson faced Olivet Nazarene winning in 4 games (25-21, 25-20, 23-25, 25-22) the Lady Eagles were led by Carissa Oelke who collected 19 kills and 8 digs. Also adding to Judson's success was Breanna Todd and Annie Holderman who had 11 and 9 kills respectively. Kirsten Kohlstedt added a double double with 43 assists and 10 digs. On defense, Taylor Lesner did her part collecting 24 digs to help Judson push past Olivet Nazarene.
For the first game on Saturday, Judson blew past Purdue North-Central in 3 games (25-19, 25-11, 25-23). The Lady Eagles had a great day on offense hitting .300 kill percentage . Leading the Lady Eagles in the kill percentage was Danielle Sladek and Annie Holderman with 50%. Carissa Oleke had a game high 12 kills powering Judson past PNC
Finally the second game on Saturday, Judson played their toughest competition in Indiana University-South Bend going 5 games (25-21, 23-25, 23-25, 25-18, 10-15). In the game, Carissa Oelke and Zoe Worst collected double doubles. Oelke produced 20 and 11 digs while Worst had 39 assists and 17 digs. In the game Judson was huge on defense having a total of 17 blocks and 8 came from Isadora Borrero.
Judson is now 14-12 overall and 5-5 in conference.
Judson will play next on October 11th at Robert Morris at 7:00 pm.
