Elgin, Ill. The Judson men's soccer team just could not hold on to their 1-0 lead late into Tuesday afternoon's game vs. Illinois Tech.  Illinois Tech barely found a way to sneak one past Judson's Neil Thompson with less than 3 minutes to play. The game would then go into double overtime, and neither team could managed to get any offense rolling. The game ended with the score of 1-1.

 

The Eagles played a tough, physical game against their rival, Illinois Tech. Early on, neither team could find any offense with both teams playing great defense. Going into half time, the score was 0-0. Finally, in the 65th minute of play, Judson's Jason Mok found Danny Hinterlong for the first goal of the match.  Judson could not hold onto the lead when Illinois Tech managed to find a way to get past Neil Thompson in the 87th minute.  After two overtimes, the game ended in a tie at 1-1. 

 

Neil Thompson held his own, on the sunny day, collecting 7 saves on the day to manage to salvage the game as a tie.

 

Judson is now 3-3-3 on the year, and 0-0-2 in conference.

 

Judson will play next on Saturday, September 29th at #12 Robert Morris at 4 p.m.
