Judson 2, Roosevelt 3-Box

 

Elgin, Ill.- The Judson women's volleyball team played against Roosevelt University and fell in 5 sets (25-21, 20-25, 25-12, 29-31, 13-15). The Lady Eagles looked good in set 1, winning 25-21, but then fell in game 2. Judson looked to make it a game, storming back in game 3 winning 25-12, but it was not enough with the Lady Eagles losing the next two sets.

 

Coming out strong, Carissa Oelke led the team in kills with 19 and also had 21 digs, making it her seventeenth double-double on the year. Breanna Todd also had her fifth double-double on the year with 14 kills and 14 digs. Isadora Borerro contributed well on offense with 9 kills, and came up big on defense with 4 blocks. Another key to the defense was Taylor Lesner, who had 32 digs on the night.

 

Judson is now 11-9 on the year and 2-2 in conference.

 

Judson will play Tuesday, September 25 at St. Xavier at 7 p.m.
