Results

Normal, Ill- The men's and women's cross country teams were at it again on Friday September 14^th at the Illinois Intercollegiate Cross Country Championships.  The men's team placed 19^th out of 29 teams and the women place 10^th out of 24 teams.

In the women's race, Meghan Gard ran a strong race placing 26^th with a time of 19:11.  Following was 43^rd Sarah Miller (19:35), 72^nd Gabby Nystrom (20:03), 141^st Justine McDowell (22:02), and 154^th Morgan Kimball (22:47).

The men finished 19^th out of 29 teams but Nate Nevius broke a school record. Nate becomes the first cross-country male athlete to break the 26-minute barrier for an 8k run. Nate finished well under posting a run of 25:49.  In the race, Nevius finished 38^th. Nate was followed by Tim Ciochon (27:36), Zach Eliason (28:21), Luke Kierys (28:46), and Mitch Mallary (29:53).

The men's and women's cross country teams will run next on Friday September 21, 2012 at Augustana at 4 p.m.
