Mount Vernon, Ohio.- The Judson men's soccer team fought strong at Mt. Vernon Nazarene Unversity Tournament over the weekend. The Eagles went 0-1-1 in the tournament. Judson played Davenport (MI) and Mount Vernon Nazarene (OH) going 0-1-1 in the tournament. 

 

On Friday, Judson played Davenport University losing 2-1. Noah Price started the scoring in the 13th minute off a a rebound off the goalie. Davenport would then go on to score 2 unanswer goals to win the game 2-1.

 

Judson looked for better fortune on Saturday, playing host Mt. Vernon University. Judson was down early when Davenport scored in the 17th minute of play. The Eagles never gave up and tied the game up when Santiago Munoz beat the defense and scored on a break away. That's how the game finished after 2 overtimes the game was a tie. Neil Thompson played all 110 minutes in goal and had 4 saves.

 

Judson will play next on September 15 at Judson University (Dawson Field) against Viterbo University.
