Chicago Ill.- Judson continues their great start to their season going 2-2 at the St. Xavier/Trinity Christian Tournament. The Lady Eagles defeated Aquinas College and Indiana University Kokomo, but fell short to Siena Heights University and St. Ambrose University.

 

On Friday, Judson defeated Aquinas College 25-19, 26-24, and 25-23, continuing their undefeated record of 6-0. To lead the team, Breanna Todd had her season high of 13 kills, and also contributed 8 digs. Carissa Oelke was at it again with her fifth double-double of the season against Aquinas with 11 kills and 16 digs. Against Siena Heights, Judson fought hard, but could not pull it out, losing 27-29, 25-20, 20-25, and 14-25. Breanna Todd had her first double-double of the season with 13 kills and 12 digs. Carissa Oelke rallied with her sixth double-double of the season with 10 kills and 11 digs. Both Todd and Oelke contributed on defense with 3 blocks apiece. Danielle Sladek contributed big on defense with 2 solo blocks and 6 total blocks. She also hit a .333 on offense, which was the highest kill percentage of the game.

 

On Saturday, the Lady Eagles started off slow, losing to St. Ambrose 17-25, 25-23, 22-25, and 21-25. Carissa Oelke put up big numbers, scoring her seventh double-double with 20 kills and 23 digs. Receiving her second double-double of the season, Breanna Todd had 10 kills and 12 digs. Contributing big on defense, Taylor Lesner had 23 digs. Kirsten Kohlstedt added her own double-double of 43 assists and 12 digs. The Lady Eagles finished the tournament right, defeating IU Kokomo 25-15, 25-20, and 25-21. Carissa Oelke led the team in kills with 13. Breanna Todd added to the team's victory over all with 6 kills, 3 serving aces, and 13 digs. Danielle Sladek led the team with a .300 kill percentage.

 

Judson is now 7-2 on the year.

 

Judson will play at Trinity International University on September 4.
