NCCAA Player of the Week

 

ELGIN, Ill. – Carissa Oelke was given Judson University's first CCAC and NCCAA Player of the Week award in volleyball this week for play in four matches at the Grand View Invitational. This is her first player of the week award in the CCAC and NCCAA this year.

 

Oelke helped Judson to a 4-0 record on the week and was also selected for all-tournament team at the Grand View Invitational. This last week, she started off the season strong with her first double-double of the year with 11 kills and 13 digs against the #13 ranked team, Grand View University. Oelke then recorded 15 kills with only one error, taking the win over Benedictine College. Against Waldorf College, she recorded her second double-double of the year with 19 kills and 24 digs, leading the team to the win. To continue her success, she ended the weekend with 15 kills and 21 digs for her third double-double of the year, defeating Evangel University. Adding to her stats, Oelke also recorded four aces and five blocks (four assisted blocks).

 

Judson is currently 4-0.
