HANOVER PARK, Ill. – Playing for their first-ever CCAC regular season championship, the Judson University men's tennis team held their own but #24 Olivet Nazarene University had the upper edge, 8-1.  Judson is now 10-11 and 4-1 in the CCAC.  They will be the #2 seed in the CCAC Tournament next week.

John Mittvick was the only win in the match at #1 singles as he took the match, 3-6, 7-6 (7-4), 7-5 over Juken Kurz.  Judson battled in the #5 singles and #6 singles but fell in both close matches.  Adam Westhauser fell in #5 singles, 7-5, 6-4, and then Andrew Moment went three sets falling, 7-5, 3-6, 0-6.

In doubles play, Judson pushed in #1 doubles but came up short, 8-5. The #2 doubles team of Tyler Adland/Moment came close to the win, 8-4, but did not have enough to get by.

"Both teams played great today," says head coach Art Steuber.  "We are right there with them in a lot of areas.  I am looking forward to playing them again."

Judson will now wait to see who they will play in the CCAC Tournament next week.
