WHITING, Ind. – Continuing their hot playing streak in the CCAC, the Judson University men's tennis team stay perfect in conference play shutting out Calumet College of St. Joseph, 9-0. Judson is now 4-0 in the CCAC and the top team. They will play Olivet Nazarene University for the regular season championship on Friday, April 20that 2:00 p.m. at the Judson Tennis Courts.
Rolling through doubles play, John Mittvick and Reilly Good took the first match of #1 doubles, 8-2, with Adam Westhauser and Jesse Perez winning #2 doubles, 8-1. Tyler Adland and Andrew Moment received the default win at #3 doubles.
In singles play, Calumet only played the first four singles and had defaults at the #5 and #6 singles matches. Adland and Moment received the wins in those two matches. Mittvick won the #1 singles with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Stephen McKlan. Good then shutout Luis Haro in #2 singles, 6-0, 6-0, while Westhauser took #3 singles, 6-1, 6-1, over Tomasz Pieprzycki. Perez finished off the win in a 6-0, 6-1, win at #4 singles for the 9-0 victory.
Judson will host Olivet Nazarene University on Friday, April 20th, at 2:00 p.m. in the final home match of the year.
