ELGIN, Ill. – Staying undefeated in the CCAC, the Judson University men's tennis team blanked Purdue University-Calumet, 9-0. They are now 8-10 overall and now leading the CCAC at 3-0.
Judson started the match off with a quick 3-0 lead in doubles play. The #1 doubles match was the closest as John Mittvick and Reilly Good took Matt Radencic and Jeff Stooksbury, 8-5. Tyler Adland and Andrew Moment and Adam Westhauser and Jeff Splinter then won the #2 and #3 doubles, 8-0.
Cruising through singles play, Judson won all their matches in two sets. Mittvick too the #1 singles, 6-0, 6-1, over Radencic followed by a 7-6, 6-1 win for Good at #2 singles. Adland came through with a 6-1, 6-2, win over Carlo Garcia while Splinter had a 6-1, 6-4, win at #4 singles. Westhauser came through at #5 singles, 6-1, 6-0, over Henry Muro and Moment won the ninth point with a 6-1, 6-2 defeat of Parth Patel.
Judson travels to Calumet College on April 14thfor their fourth CCAC match of the year.
