Milwaukee, Wisc. – The strong cold front that dumped 20 inches of snow in Milwaukee on Wednesday stuck around and affected Judson University (8-14/3-3) as they fell to Cardinal Stritch University (20-4/7-0), 69-39. Judson shot only 26% from the floor and turned the ball over 29 times to #11 Cardinal Stritch.

Devonaye Henderson was the only Eagle to score in double figures with 10 points as she grabbed seven rebounds. CCAC leading rebounder Alicia Rovertoni collected 11 rebounds and added seven points.

Judson started cold from the beginning of the game as they did not score a point until the 13:32 mark on two free throws from Kirstin Johns. Crystal Goodall added two more free throws with 11:36 left in the half to make it 17-4.

It was not until 9:12 mark the JU made their first shot from the floor when Henderson made a jump shot. JU missed their first 15 shots from the floor and shot only 16% in the first half. CSU went on to take a 43-15 lead at the half.

Warming up a tad in the second half, JU shot 36% and made two three-pointers. JU also made four free throws.

Overall, CSU shot 49% to JU’s 26%. CSU also forced 29 turnovers and had 12 steals. JU recorded eight steals. JU did out rebound CSU, 37-32.

Judson will travel to Indiana on Saturday, February 9th, to take on Purdue-Calumet at 5:30 p.m.
