Elgin, Ill.- Picking up his second overall CCAC Player of the Week award this season, junior Dewayne Robinson was given the award for his play against Purdue-North Central. It is the fourth time this season that a Judson men’s basketball player has been given this award.

Robinson, from Memphis, Tenn., netted a career-high 34 points as he helped Judson to a 98-86 win over Purdue-North Central. Down, 7-2, Robinson scored the next 10 points on a 10-4 Judson run to take a 12-11 advantage. In the run, he had a three-pointer, a three-point play, and a dunk on a fast break.

He finished the game shooting 64% from the field (9-of-14), made 3-of-4 from the three-point line, and then canned 13-of-15 from the free throw line. He scored 19 of his 34 points in the second half in the come-from-behind win. He almost recorded a double-double as he had nine rebounds.

Robinson leads the CCAC in scoring averaging 21.4 points per game, third in field goal percentage (59.2%), fourth in assists (3.53 apg) and assists/turnover ratio (1.14), fifth in rebounding (6.5 rpg) and steals (1.59 spg), and ninth in free throw percentage (69.6%). His 34 points was 3rd best in the CCAC this season.

With the win, JU improved to 14-6 overall and now have won seven games in a row. The winning streak is a new school record for consecutive wins.

Judson will have another tough CCAC game when they travel to Milwaukee, Wisc., on Thursday, February 7th, to face Cardinal Stritch University at 7:30 p.m.
