 CHICAGO, Ill. – Gaining another NAIA qualifying event for the 2012 NAIA National indoor Championships, Judson University finished 11^thof 19 programs at the Chicagolands Collegiate Championships.  Judson's Distance Medley Relay qualified for the NAIA National Meet for the team's second qualifier this year.

The Distance Medley Relay team, made up of Sarah Miller, Marilyn McDougall, Kristal Pitts, Gabby Nystrom, finished in seventh place but had a time of 12:47.75.  They will now join teammate Sarah Dede at the NAIA National Indoor Championships.

Judson scored 15 points to finish ahead of Robert Morris, Illinois Tech, DePaul, Elmhurst, North Park, and Aurora.  They were just 10 points off of finishing in the top seven.

Dede had another strong day for Judson as she finished second in the triple jump with a leap of 36'2.25" and then was eighth in the 60 meter hurdles final heat.  She also came in 10^thin the long jump.  Gabby Nystrom finished eighth in the 800 meter dash (2:23.61) while Kristal Pitts was 10^thin 400 meter dash (1:01.48).
