ELGIN, Ill. – Becoming the first college program in the United States to partner with The Rush, Judson University has once again ventured into an area that is new in the social media world.  Judson is announcing their partnership with The Rush and is offering the service now to their fans as a FREE SERVICE.  All you have to do is sign up!

 

"This is an exciting time in the athletic communications world," says Associate Director of Athletic Communications Adam P. Ledyard.  "Judson is breaking into an area that has not been approached yet by mobile media and we are ecstatic to work with The Rush.  This new feature will only add to your game day experience at Judson and in athletics.  I was fascinated the first time I received a clip on my smartphone and how neat it was to see a clip from the game right after it happened.  The Rush is doing something that no other company is doing right now except ESPN.   I cannot wait to see where The Rush will go as they grow in this industry."

 

Judson continues to be a leader in social media as they were one of the first in the NAIA to use Twitter two years ago with @juathletics and @jusports_live bringing live in-game updates along with Live Stats at the same time.  Five years ago, Judson developed a new website as one of the first NAIA colleges to sign with SIDHelp.  In December 2011, Judson relauched judsoneagles.com to offer more items to its fans and has become one of the top NAIA websites in the nation. 

 

The Rush is a company that captures highlights of sporting events and will send the video clips straight to your smartphone and computer.  The clips are sent in real time and received as the game is happening.  Everybody that is a subscriber can view and re-live the highlights of your favorite players that you choose anytime.  If you cannot make it to the sporting event, you can see your favorite player's clips on your smartphone as they happen in-game.  You can then keep these clips in your "locker" on TheRush.com and watch them at any time.  To view a sample of what The Rush does, text "DEMO" to 408-899-8888 for a free highlight.

 

Judson is the first college program to partner with The Rush and has already produced clips for two men's and women's games vs. Purdue University-Calumet and Holy Cross College.  Judson will continue to have The Rush at all home basketball games the rest of 2012 and will be test trying baseball, softball, and lacrosse games and matches during spring 2012.
