
Meet Overview
WHITEWATER, Wis. – It was a strong showing for the Judson University women's track team in their first indoor meet of 2012 at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater as they finished third of 11 teams. Judson scored 84 points and had nine top five finishes Sarah Dede qualified for the NAIA Indoor National Championship meet.
Dede led Judson with two first place finishes and an eighth place finish. She won both the long jump (16'7.75") and triple jump (36'4.75") while finishing in 8thin the final heat of the 60 meter hurdles (10.71). Jessica Del Re was fifth in the shot put (35'4") in her first appearance for Judson as a freshman while Marilyn McDougall took third in the long jump (16'3") and 400 meter dash (1:02.81). Raquelle Gibson finished 8thin the one mile run (6:08.67) and Tess Tyton came in 7thin the 800 meter run (2:41.28). Gabby Nystrom ran a 2:25.93 in the 800 meter run for 2ndplace and Sarah Miller finished in 4thin the 3000 meter run (11:22.74). The 4x200 meter relay finished in first with a time of 1:54.38 and the 4x400 meter relay was 3rd(4;16.35).
Dede leap in the triple jump is currently fifth best in the NAIA. Several other athletes were just several seconds off of qualifying for the NAIA National Indoor Meet, also.
