Elgin, Ill.- Forming his first class at Judson University, head volleyball coach Craig Vlietstra has signed Rachel Whitacre from South Carolina. She will be a defensive specialist for the Eagles.

Whitacre will be coming to Judson from Greenville, South Carolina, where she played for Greenville Charter High School. This past season, she was named All-Region and was the team captain. The past two seasons, she has helped her team to the first round of the playoffs.

She is involved with the Beta Club, prom committee, and a member of the National Honor Society. She is the daughter of Jay and Cynthia Whitacre and has four sisters and one brother.

Judson is coming off a 13-23 season where they were NCCAA North Central Regional runners-up. They also had a NCCAA All-American and Academic All-American along with four players on the NCCAA North Central All-Region team.
